programs to help those interested in careers in teaching and related
fields get their degree. |

The North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship Program
|
| High School seniors who want
to teach in North Carolina can apply for the North Carolina Teaching
Fellows Scholarship Program. Renewable scholarships for $6,500 per
year are offered to 400 North Carolina students to attend one of 14
four-year colleges and universities in the state. In exchange for
the scholarship, students agree after graduation to teach for four
years in North Carolina. Click

The Prospective Teacher's Scholarship-Loan Program

| Interested in teaching?
Becoming a school counselor? Perhaps a speech language specialist or
school psychologist? This program might be for you! It requires that
you attend a public or private NC university; you can also begin at
a community college and transfer to a four-year institution. You can
receive up to $2,500 per year for up to four years.
